List of airports in Israel

Airports in Israel are divided into civilian and military. There are 17 civilian and 10 military airports. Four airports are international. The ICAO codes for Israel begin with LL ร— [1] .

Civil airports are mainly under the jurisdiction of the Israel Airports Authority , the military is under the jurisdiction of the Israel Defense Forces .

Civil airports

The main civil airports are under the jurisdiction of the โ€œ Israel Airports Authority โ€ - a state administration established in 1977 under the law โ€œOn the Airports of Israelโ€ [2] . The main civil airports are the following airports: Ben Gurion , Ovda , Sde Dov , Haifa , Eilat , Herzliya and Rosh Pina airports [3] . The remaining civilian airports are owned by regional and local councils, as well as privately owned.

Air control at Israeli airports is administered by the Israeli Air Force , with the exception of Ben Gurion Airport and Herzliya Airport.
