Kazakin

Kazakin ( French casaquin ) - the name of various types of clothing.

History

In the XVIII century, Cossack in France was called a women's oversized sweater with a wide Basque , which belonged to negligee (home clothes; some clarifications say that this is a short European clothing of the XVIII-XIX centuries with a wide back [1] ) [2] [3] .

In the 19th century, a cossack was a fitted jacket for walking and making visits [3] or a coat with wide sleeves and frills at the hem [1] .

In the Great Russian and Little Russian [1] fashion of the 19th – early 20th centuries [4], the cossack is an overalls, a kind of short caftan with a wide peplum, a low standing straight [3] collar and small assemblies at the waist (back), fastened with hooks [2 ] [3] . Tightly fit the upper part of the body [1] . It was sewn of cloth, the collar and sleeves were sheathed with braid , galloon or gown [2] [1] . It could be both male and female clothes [2] , it could be both warm and cold [1] .

As a form of clothing in Russia, the imperial period, Cossacks were worn by the city police lower ranks - emergency workers .

The word “Cossack” could be called karako [3] and women's clothing, sewn into the waist and resembling half caftan [1] .
