Desheffy ( Hungarian. Dessewffy ) - an old Hungarian noble family, which received the count dignity in 1775.
- Count Aurelius Desheffy (1808–1842) was the leader of the conservative party in the Sejm and in journalism ( en: Aurél Dessewffy ).
- His brother, gr. Emilius Desheffi (1814-1866), at first also belonged to the conservative class and, during the 1848 revolution, retired to private life. After the fall of Hungarian independence, he applied several times to the emperor for the restoration of the former Hungarian institutions. Later he joined the party of Deak . He was president of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ( en: Emil Dessewffy ).
- The brother of the previous, gr. Marcellus Deschoffey , (1813-1886); gained fame with the composition: Der politischsoziale Radikalismus der Neuzeit (Vienna, 1851) ( hu: Dessewffy Marcel ).
