"The Great Moss" ( Belorussian. Padvyalykі Mokh ) is a Belarusian republican hydrological reserve . Located in the Gantsevichi district of the Brest region of Belarus . The total area of the reserve is 10647 ha.

History
It was created by decision of the Government of the Republic of Belarus in order to preserve in its natural state a unique forest and bog complex with populations of rare and endangered species of wild plants and wild animals included in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus at the end of 2005.
Description
One of the largest swamp massifs in Belarus - Poddeliky Moss was formed on the site of an ancient lake - the Yaseldy Sea, which arose when the glaciers melted.
Peat-bog soils, sod-gley, swampy soils prevail here, sod-podzolic sandy and sandy loamy sands along the outskirts. Peat thickness is on average about 1 m.
The flora of the reserve consists of 459 species of vascular plants, of which 3 species are rare, listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus: Willow blueberry , Berula direct , Puhonos alpine .
The fauna of the reserve includes 185 species of terrestrial vertebrates , including 8 species of amphibians , 5 - reptiles , 28 - mammals , 147 species of birds, of which 141 species reliably nest. Among the rare species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus, the European marsh turtle , black stork , Lesser spotted spotted eagle , snake-eater , European carp , gray crane , three-toed woodpecker , roots, and hazel dwellers live here.
