Settlement Overview
Atmen settlement is located 3 km by road north of the center of the settlement and 17 km by road north-west of Alikov .
Currently, the settlement is mainly gasified.
History
It was founded in 1928 in connection with the organization of the Stalin collective farm. Initially it was called Atmen Village, then in 1938–40 it was Nagorny. Until 1939, it was the center of the Atmensky village council of the Alikovsky district, and later - in the Shumshevashsky village council of the Soviet district. Since 1956 - again in the Alikovsky district. Since December 1962 - in the Yadrinsky district . From March 14, 1965, again in the Alikovsky district [3] [4] .
