History

On September 27, 1939 in the Warsaw occupied by the fascist troops, the highest officers of the Polish Army created the organization Victory for Poland , which became the first militarized underground organization of Polish resistance to the invaders.

On September 11, 1998, the Polish Sejm , referring to the creation on September 27, 1939 of the organization Victory Services of Poland, established a new national holiday in honor of the Polish underground state.

The statute of the holiday says:

"This historic event marked the beginning of the construction of the Polish underground state, which is a phenomenon not only of World War II."
