Until 2015, it was part of the rural settlement of Lagovsky Podolsky district ; until 2006 - in the Lagovsky rural district .
History
Until 2006, Zheleznodorozhny was a small village. Its population was 89 in 2002 [2] and 87 in 2005. According to the resolution of the Governor of the Moscow Region of August 18, 2006, it included a large village of the Central Estate of the Podolsky state farm [3] , as a result of which the population of Zheleznodorozhny increased to 3054 people.

Location
Zheleznodorozhny village is located between parts of the cities of Podolsk : the main part and the Klimovsk district (5 km to the center of Podolsk and 3 km to the center of Klimovsk). Through the village passes the old Simferopol highway (within the village is Bolshaya Serpukhovskaya street). From the Zheleznodorozhny stop, buses and minibuses go to Podolsk and Klimovsk. Near the village is the Spring platform of the Kursk direction of the Moscow railway .
