Biography
Charles-Edouard Martin was born on May 10, 1847 . He studied at the theological school of the Gospel Society in Geneva. Then, until 1921 , Martin was a professor of classical languages in this school. In 1885, Charles-Edouard was appointed as the proofreader for the newspaper Tribune de Genève . In his spare time, Martin studied mycology, was familiar with the botanist and mycologist Robert Shoda . Martin took part in the formation of the Mycological Society of Geneva , was its first president. In 1933, Charles-Edouard Martin became an Honorary Doctor of Science at the University of Geneva . Charles-Edouard Martin died on February 13, 1937 .
