Rhododendron 'Yaku Angel' - a variety of evergreen rhododendrons , a clone of Rhododendron degronianum var. yakushimanium from the Ernest Allen collection. Appeared in culture after 1960 [1] . According to another source, originator Harold E. Greer. The variety was introduced into the culture in 1967, registered in 1976 [2] .

Biological Description
At the age of 10 years, the height is about 60 cm [3] . At the age of 15 years, about 90 cm tall, 150 cm wide [1] .
Narrowly lanceolate leaves pointed at the end, with a wedge-shaped base, dark green with brown pubescence. The life span of the leaves is about 3 years.
The inflorescence is a spherical brush of 13-17 flowers.
The buds are pink. The flowers are bell-shaped, about 5 cm in diameter, without aroma , white, with a light brown color on the dorsal part [3] .
In Culture
It tolerates temperature drops to −26 ° C [3] .
Zones of frost resistance : 5b — 9b [4] .
Flowering in early May [1] .
