The flag of the municipality is the rural settlement of Onufrievskoye in the Istra municipal district of the Moscow Region of the Russian Federation - an identification mark serving as the official symbol of the municipality.

The flag was approved on March 3, 2011 by the decision of the Council of Deputies of the Onufrievskoye rural settlement No. 5/15 [1] and on November 2, 2011 it was added to the State Heraldry Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 7168 [2] .
Description
“A rectangular blue panel with a ratio of width to length of 2: 3, the two lower corners of which are highlighted in the form of two symmetrical, touching at the bottom yellow triangles in 1/8 of the panel each; the panel carries in the middle an image of figures from the coat of arms of the settlement: a yellow church head, above it, close to the upper edge, the stylized sun is shown half yellow, and under the head, between the triangles - three narrow horizontal white wavy stripes. "
Justification of Symbols
The flag is designed on the basis of the coat of arms, which in the language of symbols and allegories reflects the historical and natural-geographical features of the rural settlement Onufrievskoe.
The center of the municipality - the village of Onufrievo has a long history. Initially, an Orthodox monastery was located here in the name of St. Onufrius the Great - Onufriev Monastery, around which over time a settlement grew, which later became a village.
The Assumption Onufrievsky Monastery on Lake Trostensky was first mentioned in writing in the boundary certificate of Grand Duke Ivan Vasilievich in 1504. The 1649 monastery’s description has been preserved: “Onofrey’s monastery from Moscow is 60 miles, stands on a lake, and in that monastery there is a church, and a meal, and a bell tower, and a cookhouse, and bread, and stone quarters, and land, and a lot of land, and fish there is fishing in that lake, and a monastic settlement of 20 yards. ” In the XVII century there was a direct road from Moscow to the monastery.
The once famous monastery fell into decay over time, and has not survived to this day. However, the memory of him remained not only in historical documents, but also in the name of the village - Onufrievo. On the flag, the yellow (golden) dome of the temple symbolizes the importance of the monastery in the history of the rural settlement.
The wavy stripes symbolize Trostenskoe Lake , next to which Onufrievo is located. Despite the fact that the lake itself is located in the neighboring Ruza district , the history of the village is closely connected with it. The yellow edges - the shores figuratively indicate the glacial origin of the lake located between the hills of the Klinsko-Dmitrov Ridge .
The rising shining sun symbolizes the inextricable historical connection of the rural settlement of Onufrievskoye with the Istra district: the sun is a figure of the flag of the Istra municipal district .
Blue color (light blue ) is a symbol of exalted aspirations, sincerity, devotion, rebirth.
Yellow color ( gold ) is a symbol of greatness, wealth, stability, vitality.
White color ( silver ) is a symbol of purity, perfection, peace and mutual understanding.
