Story
Horse traders Travis and Sandy, by chance, undertake to conduct a group of Mormons with wives and children, paving the way for their co-religionists to the west - in the valley of the San Juan River , where fertile land and you can live and work quietly.
The road ahead is not easy, but the caravan moves through underdeveloped territories with virtually no weapons. Navajo Indians , whose tribe is found along the way, do not fight with the Mormons, considering them brothers in spirit. But the real test for travelers is the appearance of the Cleggs criminal family - “uncle” Shilo and his four sons, killers, who are hunted by the sheriff with a team of assistants. To mislead the persecutors, the Cleggs join the Mormons - among these religious fanatics, the sheriff will not look for fugitives.
Be that as it may, the van drivers will fulfill their mission. A caravan will pass through the desert and mountains. And neither the Indians, nor armed bandits, nor lack of water, nor impassability will stop him.
