“ Because ” ( Rus. Because; Because ) is the song of The Beatles , written by John Lennon [1] (the authorship, as usual happened in The Beatles, attributed to Lennon-McCartney ) and recorded by The Beatles in 1969 . The song stands out for its beautiful three-part vocal harmony performed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison , recorded overlapping three times, resulting in nine votes. The song first appeared on the second side of the Abbey Road album (1969); followed by a suite of several songs (medley), starting with “ You Never Give Me Your Money ” (with the first notes of which perfectly combines the last vocal chord “Because”).

Creating a song
The song begins with a distinctive (distinctive) entry on the harpsichord , played by George Martin . The harpsichord is joined by Lennon's guitar (imitating the sound of a harpsichord part), the sound of which is passed through the Leslie system ( en: Leslie speaker ). Then come the voices and bass guitar.
“Because” is one of several The Beatles records made using Mug's synthesizer ( en: Moog synthesizer ), played by George Harrison. His part appears in that place of the song, which Alan Pollak ( en: Alan W. Pollack ) calls as a “mini-bridge” [2] , and then again at the end of the composition. The group was one of the first to start experimenting in rock music with Muga’s synthesizer, using it along with traditional instruments for rock bands (such as The Doors , Simon and Garfunkel and The Rolling Stones ).
According to Lennon, it’s not by chance that Ludwig van Beethoven ’s Moon Sonata was similar to the song: “ Yoko played the Beethoven Moon Sonata on the piano ... I said:“ Can you play these chords in the reverse order? ”And wrote“ Because ” Around them. The words of the song speak for themselves ... No fiction, no ambiguity. (No imagery, no obscure references.) " [1] [3]
Musical Structure
As for the discussions about whether Lennon was inspired to cite this song by Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonatas, musicologist Walter Everett ( en: Walter Everett ) notes that “in both cases, the triad arpeggio and seventh chords in C # minor in the baritone range of the instrument keyboard are used slow pace, moving through the submediant in ♭ II and approaching VII dim 7 / IV through a general tone. “At the same time it’s possible to make a difference, I’m not sure what you’re trying to do.” ( through ♭ II and approach vii dim 7 / IV via a common tone.) [4]
Another similarity of "Because", which is also in C #, opens from ♭ VI (chord to ... "cause"), moves to the 1st chord (C # m to "wind"), then to ♭ VI7 (A7 to "high") before switching to ♭ ii dim (D dim) to “love is old love is new” (IV-F #). The third beat of the Moon Sonata does not contain this movement from ♭ VI (A) to ♭ II (D / F #), but Dominic Pedler indicates that this was precisely because Lennon was inspired when writing by following chords . [five]
“Because” ends with vocal fading (fade-out) on Dm, which leaves the listener on their toes and waiting to return to the original C # chord. Wilfred Mellers explains this: “the causal relationship is released and there is no“ before ”or“ after ”:“ because ”is a moment of revelation, it does not need to be explained. (causality is released, it needs to be resolved.) ” [6] Accord D dim (and the accompanying melody in F) last until they are resolved opening the next track “ You Never Give Me Your Money ” on an Am chord, so that Dm can be viewed in retrospect as a VII dim chord from Am. [7]
Record
The main session of “Because” was held on August 1, 1969, the vocal overdubs were recorded on August 4 , and the two tracks of the Moog synthesizer played by Harrison were recorded on August 5 . [8] As a result, it was the last song of the album, completely recorded on tape, although after this overdubs for other unfinished songs were also recorded. Versions of the song without instrumental accompaniment can be found on the albums Anthology 3 (1997) and Love (2006). Both versions contain vocals by Lennon, McCartney and Harrison, but the Love version is somewhat slowed down (slowed down) and sounds of bird songs are added to it.
