Qualification

Women's hammer throwing competitions at the 2012 London Olympics were held on August 8 and 10, 2012 at the Olympic Stadium .

In 2016-2017, after rechecking the doping tests, all three Russian athletes competing in this discipline were disqualified - Tatyana Lysenko (gold), Maria Bespalova (11th place) and Gulfiya Khanafeeva (16th place in the semifinals). Oksana Menkova from Belarus (seventh place) was also disqualified.

On August 11, 2017, the IAAF officially published the new competition final table, redistributing the medals ^[1] ^[2] ^[3] .
