Biography
Svetlana Balashova was born on October 2, 1943. In 1964 she graduated from the Theater Studio at the Moscow Youth Theater (teacher - P.O. Chomsky ). She worked at the Moscow Puppet Theater [1] .
Even before the end of the studio in 1964, the girl managed to star in a number of films. Her most famous work was the role of high school student Vera Semechkina in the film directed by Heinrich Hovhannisyan “The Adventures of Krosh,” based on the story of the same name by Anatoly Rybakov. In addition, the actress played small roles in the films “Sinful Angel” (Natasha) and “Easy Life” (dry cleaning worker).
Svetlana Balashova dedicated her life to the stage of the Moscow Puppet Theater. Over the years, the actress played many roles. Her heroines became: Giraffe in the fairy tale “Rhinoceros and Giraffe” by H. Gunther, Lyudmila in the famous Pushkin fairy tale “Ruslan and Lyudmila”, Valery Pestryakov (“Return the surprise to Pestryakova” by A. Gulyaev), Yashka-Tarakashka (“So big and scary” Yu. Averenkova), Nif-Nif (“Hold on, piglets!” According to S. Mikhalkov), Girl Elizabeth (“The Wizard Fluff” by A. Popescu), Mashenka (“Mashenka and the Bear” by V. Schwemberg), Pani Koroleva (“ The Tale of the Unlucky Dragon ”by I. Perzhinov), Zhavot (“ The Crystal Shoe ”by T. Gabbe), Finis (“ Karurman - the Black Fox ”by R. Mingamiev and E. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR No. 651 for 1981, the artist of the Moscow Puppet Theater S. A. Balashova “for merits in the field of Soviet theater art” was awarded the title “Honored Artist of the RSFSR” [2] .
Svetlana Balashova also worked on television. In the 1990s, she voiced the frog Kvasyu in the program "Quartet is a fun company." Since 2003, she worked in the Shishkin Forest program, aired on the My Joy channel, where she played grandmother Fedor, and also voiced the owl Matilda Leonardovna [3] .
She died on February 21, 2012.
