Biography
Georges Boulogne began his career as a football player in the amateur club Amboise, for which he played for 16 years. Then he joined Saint Dizier first as a player, and later as a playing coach.
Then Georges worked as a trainer in Belgium in Ghent and R.K.S. Verviers before returning to France in Vitry , later Mulhouse (football club) .
In 1958, Boulogne joined the technical staff of the French Football Federation . [1] .
In March 1969 he was appointed head coach of the French team , where he worked until 1973. [2] The first match as a national team coach ended in a devastating defeat at Wembley from the British (0-5).
The city stadium in Amboise is named after him. [3]
