Geographical position
It is located on the territory of the Kumtorkalinsky district , 15 km north-east of the city of Kizilyurt on the Shamkhal-Yangyurt channel.

Formed on the site of a kutan of the collective farm named after Engels in the village of Akhalchi, Khunzakh district.
