History
The village was founded before 1710 by Ivan Stepanovich Ragozhkin. After the construction of the church in the name of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - the village of the Assumption, Azya, Rogozhkino. In the middle of the 19th century there was a volost center, in the village there was a distillery, 59 courtyards, a stone church in the name of the Assumption of the Mother of God (built in 1809, renovated in 1850), a school, a shop, and in 1894 a zemstvo school. Since 1926 - the center of the village council. [one]
