History
Early Middle Ages
The territory of the future Mailianida was transferred by the Celtic King Vortigern to his son Brid in 430. Called Mylianid, this possession became the grandson of Bride , Maille . According to the Harlean genealogies, however, Bride, the founder of this dynasty, was the son (and thus the brother of Pasgen ) Kategirn son of Cadell [2] .

Ranulf de Mortimer founded the castle of Chimaron on the territory of Mailianid, between the villages of Llanbister and Llanganllo [1] .
