Content
History
The name of the village was formed on behalf of Mikhail Filatov, great-grandfather of academician-ophthalmologist V.P. Filatov .
In the "List of Populated Places of the Penza Province" (1869), Mikhailovka is the owner's village of 57 yards (419 people) of the Saransk district.
In 1894 - 80 yards (466 people); 1 church, a hospital for 5 beds, which P. M. Filatov, the father of the academician, built in the village at his own expense.
In 1917 , peasants opposed the landowner Bogdanov, defeated his estate, divided cattle, equipment and land among themselves.
In 1927 , the TOZ was organized, since 1929 the collective farm, in the 1950s. - enlarged diversified economy “Freedom”, since 1992 - branch of OJSC “Agrofirm“ Oktyabrskaya ””. In the modern infrastructure of the village - a library, the House of Culture; monument to fellow countrymen who died during the Great Patriotic War.
The Mikhailovsky rural administration includes the village of Anuchino (12 people), Vorotniki (19), Romanovka (13), Chapaevo (6 people).
Famous Natives
- Filatov, Neil Fedorovich (1847-1902) - Russian doctor, founder of the Russian pediatric school. Uncle of the famous ophthalmologist V.P. Filatov . In the years 1865-1866. in the Filatov family, the writer P.V. Zasodimsky lived as a home teacher.
