Content
Emblem Description
“The coat of arms is made on a shield of French heraldic form, divided into three fields by horizontal lines. At the top of the coat of arms on a gray background is the inscription "Ulchsky District", made in yellow. In the central part of the shield, against the background of the tricolor flag of the Khabarovsk Territory is shown:
on the field of green color - bald eagle , made in gray-white color;
on the field of white color - a symbolic image of a coniferous tree, made in gray tones;
on the field of blue color - fish of salmon breed, executed in gray tones;
at the bottom of the shield, on a green background, is a traditional Ulchi national ornament, made in white color. ”
Symbols description
The emblem is compiled according to certain rules. It is a peculiar monument of the continuity of history and culture, reflects the natural-climatic feature and the main focus of the traditions of the population of the area.
The shoulderless eagle symbolizes the uniqueness of the Ulchi region, on whose territory the most numerous and famous population of this rare bird is located.
The image of a conifer tree symbolizes the extensive forest wealth of the area, which is based on the forest industry.
Salmon fish symbolizes the region’s wealth of biological resources.
History of coat of arms
In 1998, the head of the region decided to create the coat of arms of the Ulchi district. By order of the head of the district of July 14, 1998 No. 332-p, the conditions of the competition for the production of a sketch of the coat of arms were determined. According to the results of the competition, the project drawn up by a professional artist, a resident of the village of Saryne, was recognized as the best sketch of the coat of arms. On June 6, 1999, the coat of arms of the region was approved by the decision of the Ulchi District representatives' meeting.
On August 2, 1999, the decree of the head of Ulchsky district No. 243 approved the Regulations on the coat of arms of the Ulchsky district.
In the coat of arms of the district, the basic rule of heraldry is violated ( Tincture Rule ). The coat of arms is not listed in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation .
