Biography
Born in Warsaw , graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Petrograd .
He began his literary career as an imaginative poet (published in Kazan since 1919 ).
A participant in the Kazan group of imaginists “Showcase of Poets”, which released two collections with his participation: “Ram of Words” (Kazan, 1921 ) and “Commandment of the Dawn” (Kazan, 1922 ).
Member of the Petrograd "Militant Order of the Imaginists" since its founding in late 1922 along with Grigory Shmerelson , Ivan Afanasyev - Soloviev , Vladimir Riciotti and others.
He participated in the collections of the "Order" "In the Wagon of Inspiration" 1923 ) and "Peers" ( 1925 ). It was published in the magazine of imaginists “Hotel for those traveling in the beautiful” (N 4 for 1924 - the poem “Again by the Lake ...”).
He wrote a lot for children: short stories in poems “Red Children in the White World” ( 1925 ) and “Zhenya the Pioneer” ( 1926 ), books “Our Book about Who Has a House” ( 1926 ), “Lushin Pears”, “ Toys "( 1927 )," Like You ", illustrated by T. N. Glebova ( 1928 ) and others.
Co-author of the writer Andrei Shmulian (satirical novel “Damn in the Council of the Immaculate” ( 1928 ).
The author of the plays “Apparatus” ( 1930 ), “Eternal Youth” ( 1935 ).
In a creative tandem with Matvey Tevelev he worked with the studios Lenfilm , TsOKS (film scripts for the films “Arinka” ( 1939 ), “The Old Guard” ( 1941 ), etc.).
