Bemowo ( Polish: Bemowo ) - dzelnitsa ( district ) of Warsaw , located on the western outskirts of the city. It occupies the areas attached to the dzelnitsa-gmina Volya in 1951 . Since 1994 it has become a separate administrative unit. The name comes from the surname of General Jozef Bem . One of the most intensively developing dzelnitsy capital. Formerly the “bedroom of Warsaw”, today it has become a major center for sports and trade.

According to the GUS (Main Statistical Office), as of December 31, 2015, 119 113 inhabitants lived in a dzelnitsy on an area of 24.95 km 2 [1] .

Although this division is fairly accurate compared to other Warsaw dzelniki, nevertheless, it is somewhat different from the traditional:
- in a practical sense, Bemovo is: Gurce, Elenki, Khshanov, the village of Bemovo ( Osiedle Bemowo ), the Grottoes, the village of Pshiyazn ( Osiedle Przyjaźń ) and Boernerowo ( Boernerowo ) with former military installations: Fort Bema, Fort Radiovo and airport ( Babice ( Babice ) Bemovo)
- Gurce is divided into Old and New Gurts, in the northern part of Gurets there is still Marynin
- Elenki, as well as Chshanov, partially occupy the land of the former village of Odolany
- Northern Elenki includes the village of Pshiyazn
- on the territory of Chrzanow, Karolin , Na Wyraju, and Mory are also distinguished (the latter are a separate part of the village of Mory, the former estate)
- part of Eleniek called Old Elenki is located in the Ulrichow district in the Wolzylnica
- Bemovo airport (New Bemovo) - these are several microdistricts built on the territory of the former airport: Bemovo I, Bemovo II, Bemovo III, Bemovo IV, Bemovo V
- according to MSI, the Fort Radiovo district (Old Bemovo) also includes a military technical academy

Military installations
Dzelnica Bemowo is closely connected with the Polish Army . Babice Airport centers around several military units, as well as one higher educational institution, a research institute and WZL warehouses. In the past, ammunition depots No. 1 operated on the territory of Fort Bema, and the sports club CWKS Legia occupied the territory adjacent to the fort. During World War II, a paved airport was created here, where, during the period of the NDP, the units belonging to the Nadwiślańskie Jednostki Wojskowe were based : 103rd Air Regiment ( 103 Pułk Lotniczy, JW 1159 ), separate repair station ( Samodzielna Stacja Naprawcza ) and the 3rd Luzhitsky Air Defense Division ( 3 Łużycka Dywizja Artylerii Obrony Powietrznej Kraju ).
