Career

Nikolai Kostichkin began his professional career in 2007 as part of the Premier League club of HC Ryazan , playing before for his farm club, as well as second teams of Cherepovets Severstal and Novokuznetsk Metallurg . In his debut season, Nikolai spent 10 matches on the site, in which he scored 1 (0 + 1) point. Before the start of the new season, Kostichkin signed a contract with the Moscow Wings of the Soviets , where in 35 matches he managed to score 14 (5 + 9) points.

However, then financial problems began in the club, so Nikolai had to leave Moscow, after which he concluded an agreement with the Neftekamsk Toros . Nevertheless, Kostichkin played only 2 matches for the main team of the new team, having spent most of the season in the farm club. In addition, Nikolai became the bronze medalist of the tournament with the Tolpar Youth Hockey League club in that year, scoring 12 (7 + 5) points in 19 matches.

Kostichkin also started the 2010/11 season as part of Tolpar, but on December 23, 2010 he became a player of Chekhov 's Vityaz , where 4 days later in the match against Atlanta Mytishchi he finally managed to make his debut in the Continental Hockey League , and already On January 6, 2011, in a game with Cherepovets Severstal, he scored his first points in the KHL, scoring a goal and giving away an assist [1] . In total, in his debut season at the highest level, Nikolay played 16 matches in which he scored 7 (1 + 6) points, after which the leadership of the Chekhov club decided to extend the agreement with the player [2] .

Nevertheless, on October 13, 2011 Kostichkin was withdrawn from the Vityaz [3] , and a month later he signed a contract with Donetsk Donbass [4] . However, Nikolai spent only 2 matches in the new club, after which he left Ukraine and moved to the Soligorsk Shakhtar [5] . In the Belarusian club, Kostichkin managed to score 4 (2 + 2) points in 9 matches held, after which the leadership of Moscow Spartak came to him, with whom he concluded an agreement just before the end of the re-application period [6] . Nevertheless, after spending only 4 matches in the Muscovites, Nikolai received a severe double leg fracture with a shift, as a result of which he dropped out before the end of the season [7] .

Before the start of the 2012/13 season, he signed a viewing contract with the Siberia team , but on August 9, 2012 this contract was terminated. [8]
