Pope Benedict XVI
The cardinals erected by Pope Benedict XVI - 90 prelates and clergymen , were elevated to the rank of cardinal at the five Consistories for the nearly eight-year-old pontificate Benedict XVI. Of these, 53 electoral cardinals have the right to vote in the Conclave.
The largest consistory was the Consistory of November 20, 2010 , at which twenty-four cardinals were appointed.
