Aeneas Silvius - the mythical king of Alba Longa .

He was the son of the second king Sylvia , grandson of Ascanius and great-grandson of Aeneas. Aeneas Silvius is the third in the list of mythical kings of Alba Longa in Latsia and Sylvia considered him the founder of their clan [1] . Dionysius of Halicarnassus says that he ruled for 31 years [2] . However, Ovid does not mention him among the Albanian kings [3] . According to Titus Livius and Dionysius, Latin Sylvius was named heir to Aeneas Silvius .
Caption
The statue of Aeneas Sylvia was installed at the Forum of Augustus along with the statues of the other kings of Alba Longa. During the excavations of the Forum, a fragment of the inscription from the base of the king’s statue was found. The text of the inscription was reconstructed based on the analysis of all the found fragments. Estimated text of the inscription:
