Biography

Rais Rakhmatullin was born on May 23, 1975 in Gorky. At the age of 10, he began training in the Nizhny Novgorod SDYUSSHOR in sambo, the trainer and founder of which is Evgeny Alekseevich Efremov. In 1992, Rais Rakhmatullin became a master of sports, winning his first Russian Cup. In this competition, he was two years younger than the participants and, due to his age, could generally be excluded from the competition. But he complied with all the standards and they took him to participate. “Crown” techniques - throwing through the back, knee lever, Achilles infringement. Married, has three children.

Sports career and achievements

1992

Rais Rakhmatullin won the Cup of Russia and received his first title "Master of Sports". At the competitions he was two years younger than the participants and he could be suspended from the competition because of his age, but he fulfilled all the standards.

1996

2004

Rais Rakhmatullin won a gold medal in the under 82 kg category during his participation in the Sambo World Cup, which took place from June 17-19 in the city of Prague. Rais did not lose a single match - neither in the individual nor team standings. One of the fights in the individual competition was very vivid and memorable. For a minute he won three throws, each of which the judges rated at four points.

2006

2006 - was recognized as the best sambo fighter in the world. This year he became the 5-time world champion in Bulgaria. Rais did not lose a single tournament, winning the Russian Championship and two major international tournaments. In the World Cup final, he won the fight against Ukrainian Ivan Vasilchuk, earning 15 points out of the required twelve.

2007

Rais Rakhmatullin took part in the Cup of the President of the Russian Federation, where the final bout in weight up to 82 kg was delayed. Russian Rais Rakhmatullin and Levan Tsiklauri, comments were made for passivity. After that, Rakhmatullin Rais had a brilliant painful reception and won.

2008

2009

2010

- November 6, 2010 in the city of Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Rais becomes a seven-time world champion in sambo, having beaten Levan Tsiklauri from Georgia 40 seconds before the end of the bout by a painful leg technique. After the World Cup, he announces the end of his sports career.
