Beresteyskoe savings

Beresteyskoe economy is a royal economy in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania of the 16th – 17th centuries. It was formed in 1589 from state estates whose income went to the maintenance of the royal court.

In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, saving was a separate administrative unit, the property of which was leased. At the beginning of the XVIII century, combined with the Kobrin economy . According to the inventory of 1783, it had 5 “provinces” (45 keys ), 17 folk farms , 8 cities, 223 villages, a total of 5745 land drains. The economy also included Belovezhskaya Pushcha [1] .

In the 1780s, the population of the economy was 46,942 people. One peasant farm accounted for 0.58 draws. Most of the peasants' economies were severe , for using half of the drag they worked out 208 days of panschins annually, carried out drives, jack-overs , guard duty.

In 1778, a peasant riot took place in the economy.

In the Russian Empire

After the annexation of these lands to the Russian Empire, the Russian government gifted and also sold the holdings of savings to various individuals. So, for example, the town of Divin with a thousand inhabitants was donated to Field Marshal Peter Rumyantsev-Zadunaysky .
