The station is located in Brooklyn , in the East New York area, at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. The station is served by two subway routes - A and C , which complement each other: C works all the time, except late at night, while A stops only late at night.

The station is local, represented by four tracks and two side platforms serving only external (local) tracks. Express tracks are not equipped with a platform and are used by A trains in the daytime (except late at night). The station is decorated in burgundy colors. In addition to black plates on the columns, the name of the station is also presented on the walls in the form of a mosaic.
The station has only one exit, located in the middle of the platforms. There is a mezzanine located above the platforms, there is the possibility of a free transition between the platforms. The turnstile room is located on the mezzanine. This exit leads to the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.
