Asgard, Blocks 6507/11 and 6407/2 - a group of oil and gas condensate fields , located on the continental shelf of Norway . Opened in 1981 . Development began on May 19, 1999.
Asgard oil is developed by the Åsgard A platform, and Asgard gas by the Åsgard B platform, gas condensate by the Åsgard C platform. The Asgard field consists of 3 structures - Midgard, Smørbukk and Smørbukk South. Saga Petroleum opened Midgard in 1981, Statoil opened Smorbukk and Smorbukk South in 1984 and 1985, respectively.
Recoverable reserves of the field are estimated at 250 million tons of oil , and natural gas is 50 billion m³. The oil density is 0.7923 g / cm³ or 47.1 ° API . The sulfur content is 0.19%, nickel 0.2 mg / g and vanadium 1.5 mg / g.
The operator of the field is the Norwegian oil company Statoil .
