Biography
Born in Rybinsk in the family of a blacksmith.
Since 1918, a sailor of the Baltic Fleet , since 1921 the steering small steamer Desna of the Baltic Fleet. Since 1924, the navigator of the Baltic Shipping Company . In 1926 he graduated from the Leningrad Higher Maritime College (evening department).
