Benny Chan ( Chinese trad. 陳木 勝 , ex. 陈木 胜 , pinyin : Chén Mùshèng , pall .: Chen Mousheng , Yue Chan Muk-Sing; born October 7, 1961) is a Hong Kong film director, film producer and screenwriter. Five times nominated for the Hong Kong Film Awards .

Biography
Benny Chan loved cinema since childhood. In 1981, he began working on the Rediffusion Hong Kong television station. A year later he switched to TVB and became assistant director Johnny To . In 1985, Chan was promoted to director and directed two dramatic television series. In 1987, he left the channel and worked in the cinema as an assistant director on two films: “Farewell, dear” by Raymond Wong (1987) and “Fatal Love” by Po-Chin Leon (1988). In 1989, Chan returned to TVB, where he was engaged in producing and directing.
Chan’s first feature film, Moments of Love , was released in 1990. The film was well received by both critics and viewers. Until the late 1990s, Chan continued to combine work on television and in big movies. Only in 1998, having shot the film “ Who am I?” ”(With Jackie Chan ), he finally made a choice in favor of cinema. Benny worked with Jackie Chan in three other films: The New Police Story (2004), Rob B-Goode (2006) and Shaolin (2011).
During his career, Benny Chan was nominated five times at the Hong Kong Film Awards , for the films “ Big Bullet ”, “ Heroic Duo ”, “New Police Story”, “ Communication ” and “ White Storm ”.
