Geography
The village is located in the Avvakumovka river valley below the confluence of the Arzamazovka and Vasilkovka rivers.
The village stands on the highway P447 (to the village of Olga 12 km).
History
It was founded in 1864 by immigrants from the Perm province .
In 1906, the village was visited by Vladimir Arsenyev .
Near the Post of St. Olga is the village of Perm, formed from the first immigrants after the occupation of the Ussuri region by Russians. The peasants of this village are sober and intelligent people. They take hunting very seriously and, most interestingly, they take care of the conservation of the beast and, in general, the protection of game. The fact is very interesting and worthy of being noted in the affairs. ”
Manuscript of V.K. Arsenyev in the Holguin Museum of Local Lore.
The first time after arrival, the settlers lived in the village of Novinka on the shores of Olga Bay . [2] Then the peasants moved to a more convenient place for farming:
“Soon the peasants noticed that the farther from the sea, the fewer fogs. Then they migrated to the Wai-Fujin Valley. In 1906, only one person lived in Novinka. The place where the peasant houses used to be is still visible today. ”
- V.K. Arseniev.
“The economic well-being of Perm peasants does not make us wish for anything better. This village could be called exemplary in all respects. For voluntary donations, they built a school in their village. The children had many books on the natural history and geography of Russia. All peasants are well-read and developed; some of them were interested in technology, using it in their own households. There was no tavern in the village of Perm.
Perm peasants lived comfortably. The land in the Wai Fujin Valley is very fertile. The peasants do not remember a single lean year, despite the fact that for forty years they have been plowing without fertilizer in the same places.
The peasants of the village of Perm are very serious and, most interestingly, they especially care about the conservation of the beast and generally about the protection of game.
The fact is very interesting and worthy of being noted in the affairs of hunting societies. This fact is interesting because the peasants in the post of St. Olga were literally divorced from Russia and cultural civilization for 50 years, they themselves came to the knowledge of the introduction, if not laws, then at least of their temporary rules on the rational management of hunting.
The peasants gathered a gathering and the world decided not to beat the females, calves, cubs, in the winter - males, and especially in the fall during the rutting and roaring, not to disturb the beast in the spring, when the females are heavy and nursing the young. In addition, the peasants decided to build a sanctuary, they themselves set conditional borders and promised not to hunt there. ”
