Universal Pulse was recorded in 2010 - 2011 at the California studio The Hive. This is the shortest album of the group, consisting of only eight songs and reaching only half an hour. However, Stefan Thomas Erlevine from Allmusic noted that "Universal Pulse is annoying even for half an hour of listening." [eight]
