Ivan Ivan Glinsky (d. After 1399) - Prince Glinsky, representative of the princely family Glinsky .
Biography
One version of the genealogy of the legend reports that the ancestor of the Glinsky, Alex , the father of Prince Ivan, joined the estate in the service of Prince Vitovt . Having been baptized in Kiev , he took the name Alexander. The same genealogy indicates that from Vytautas he received the possession of Stanko volost, as well as the cities of Khozorov, Serekov and Gladkovichi. At the beginning of the 16th century, the Glinsky family tree was compiled, which received the name in Russia “The Original Genealogy of the Glinsky Princes”. It stated that not only Alexander, but also his son Ivan joined the service of Vitovt. Also, according to the genealogy of Vytautas, gave Ivan the daughter of Prince Daniil of Ostrog , named Anastasia. Family trees also claim that Alexander and Ivan took part in the battle in Vorskla in 1399, and that it was thanks to their actions that Vitovt escaped captivity and returned to Lithuania. However, the description of the battle completely coincides with the texts of the Russian annals (except for the advice of the princes of Glinsky to Vitovtu), therefore, it most likely fell into the genealogy from the annals [1] .
In the Lyubetsk synodic , Prince Ivan Glinsky is mentioned under number 31, whom Zotov identifies with Ivan Aleksandrovich Glinsky. According to Zotov’s version, the prince could fall into the synodic, since he owned lands in the Chernigov princedom , including the city of Khorobor [2] . According to the historian A. V. Kuzmin, the presence of Ivan in the synodic indicates that the Glinsky could be descended from the Olgovichi (one of the branches of the Rurikovich ) [1] .
