General information

Frogs of the species Boophis brachychir are endemic to Madagascar . Their natural habitat is dry subtropical and tropical forests, subtropical and tropical moist forests, subtropical and tropical mountainous regions with a humid climate, wet savannahs and river floodplains. Since this species also lives in forests undergoing industrial felling, the settlement zone of Boophis brachychir is constantly shrinking.
