Short snakes ( lat. Leptotyphlops ) is a genus of non-venomous snakes of the family of the same name . Distributed in North and South America, in Africa and South-West Asia [1] . At the beginning of 2012 in the genus include 19 species [2] . Lead a digging lifestyle. Externally similar to earthworms. They feed on termite larvae.
