Biography
He received a medical education at the University of Dorpat and Moscow . He received a medical degree from the Imperial Moscow University in 1897 . He chose as a specialty pediatrics, specialized in Krakow , Paris , Graz and Warsaw from recognized European leading figures in this discipline. In 1903 he was invited to the Anne-Marie Children's Hospital in Lodz , which he made exemplary. In 1910, he moved to Warsaw, where, with the help of patrons, he created a children's hospital in accordance with his own plans. After the German occupation of Poland in 1915 , he was politically active, working to rebuild the university in Warsaw [2] - in which he became rector in 1915 .
Scientific Activities
The main scientific works concern the study of the intestinal bacterial flora, reflexes, the prevention of infectious diseases and the organization of hospitals for children. Changes in reflex reactions in meningitis, discovered by J. Brudzinsky, are called Brudzinsky symptoms .
In 1908 he created the first Polish journal of pediatrics "Przeglad Pedyatryczny".
