In the quarter between Zelenaya , Chkalov , Gubkin and Vakhitov Streets there was a cemetery (since 1949). Two burial groups have been preserved here. The first is the mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died from wounds in hospitals, on which an obelisk is installed [1] (on the initiative of Gabdrakhman Gabitovich Khismatullin [2] ). The second - a group burial of prisoners of war Hungarians and Germans who died during the Second World War - in the hospital number 2606 and 5920 [1] [2] .

βOne of the streets of Ishimbay is named after the Hero of Socialist Labor A.G. Vakhitov . Vakhitov was one of the first who began to develop Ishimbay oil.
