Biography
Pavel Belousov was born in 1924 in the village of Mikhelpolye (now the village of Seym of the Manturovsky district of the Kursk region ) into a peasant family. After finishing seven classes of the school he worked on a collective farm . In 1943 he was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army and sent to the front. He was the machine gunner of the 269th Infantry Regiment of the 136th Infantry Division of the 38th Army of the Voronezh Front . He distinguished himself during the liberation of the Kiev region [1] .
On October 13, 1943 , acting as part of an assault group that liberated the village of Lyutezh in the Vyshgorod region , he destroyed several enemy soldiers. October 17, 1943 led a group of intelligence officers and distinguished himself during the liberation of the village of New Petrovtsy [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 10, 1944, Red Army soldier Pavel Belousov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal [1] .
September 19, 1944 Belousov died in battle. He was buried in the village of Guta Polyansk , 15 kilometers southwest of the city of Duklja ( Poland ) [1] .
He was also awarded two Orders of the Red Star and a medal [1] .
