Story
Three days before Christmas , California . Two thirteen-year-old girls, Ellie and Samantha, dream of starting the Christmas holidays earlier. Returning home through the forest, they discover an unfamiliar house in the wilderness, in which some old inventor manages. In a garbage can near the house, they find an incomprehensible device and bring it home. It turns out that this is a “weather machine” and Ellie comes up with the idea of filling the area with snow to cancel school activities.
Santa (the same old man) calls his wife at the North Pole and complains about the loss, she sends two elves to help him. Arriving, they find a boot trace, guess about the theft, and Santa, using his database, narrows the circle of suspects to several girls. Meanwhile, snowfall really begins, and local meteorologist- loser Edwin Hadley decides to sort out this weather anomaly.
And snow brings serious problems to life: a father who has gone on a business trip cannot return, relatives cannot come for Christmas, and electricity is cut off in the city. Ellie and Samantha decide to hide the device in a lead box so that it stops working, they go behind it into the garage and there they find Santa and his assistants. The girls admit to them theft, but now it's not easy to get the weather machine back: first, Ally’s younger brother, Joey found it and then took it from him Edwin, who decided to become the “king of the weather”. Santa, elves and girls rush in pursuit of the meteorologist and take away his device. Santa is repairing a car and in California it is getting warm and sunny again.
