Childhood and Career
Jackman was born in Hillingdon , London . [1] He studied classical music at St. Paul's Cathedral School Choir, Eaton College, Framlingham College and Oxford University.
Jackman has been involved in programming and production with artists including Mike Oldfield (Voyager), Sally Oldfield (The Burning Star), Trevor Horn / Noise Art (The Seduction of Claude Debussy), Elton John and Gary Barlow. He co-produced the 2001 unregistered album Togetherland. [2] “This Could Be Heaven”, released from the album, was also co-written with Jackman and used in the film “The Family Man” [3] and is included in the exclusive version of the SealHit compilation album.
Jackman released three albums: Utopia (2003), Transfiguration (2005) and Acoustica (2007, with August Isador).
Since 2006, Jackman has held various secondary roles in films, mainly working with mentor Hans Zimmer , including for Code Da Vinci (music programmer), The Dark Knight (music arranger) and additional music for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, At World's End, The Simpsons Movie, Kung Fu Panda and Hancock . In 2009, Jackman, Zimmer, and John Powell won the 2008 Annie Award for Music in Animated Television Production or Short Forms for their work on the secrets of DreamWorks Enraged Five Dream (continued by Kung Fu Panda). Since then, he composed soundtracks for the films Monsters Against Aliens, Henry IV, Gulliver's Travels, X-Men: First Class , Winnie the Pooh, Abraham Lincoln : Vampire Hunter, Crash-on-Ralph and Captain America : The Winter Soldier. His first major video game rating was Uncharted 4: The Thief's End .
