Biography
Born on March 26, 1923 in the village of Kvaljashur (according to other sources - July 1, 1923 in the village of Shlyashor ) [1] now in the Kez district of the Udmurt Republic in a peasant family. Russian. Childhood passed in his native village. In the village Kuliga graduated from the seven-year plan. He studied at the FZO school in Votkinsk . He worked as a switchman at the Kez Molotovskaya (now Perm ) railway station.
In 1942 he voluntarily joined the army, was drafted by the Kuliginsky district military enlistment office of the Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. After completing a training course, he became a gunner of a 45-mm anti-tank gun. At the end of May 1943 he arrived on the Central Front. In the days of the Battle of Kursk, he received baptism of fire.
On July 6, 1943, the 1st battery of the 207th Guards Rifle Regiment occupied firing positions in a tank-dangerous direction north of the village of Olkhovatka, Ponyrovsky District, Kursk Region. 65 enemy tanks were moving to the front line of our defense with the support of machine gunners. Direct bead hits on enemy vehicles. On that day, he knocked out 13 tanks.
On July 8, he had already destroyed 22 tanks. When the shells ran out, the gunner, picking up a rifle, together with other gunners defended the firing position of the battery.
July 25, when repelling an enemy counterattack, he died. He was buried in the village of Nizhnesmorodino, Ponyrovsky district, Kursk region.
In the village of Kuliga in the Kez district of the Udmurt Republic, the street bears his name.
