Biography

Sabina Babayeva was born on December 2, 1979 in Baku , in a military and pianist family [4] . From 10-12 years old she was a soloist in the “Merry Notes” choir. After graduating from the secondary school, she entered the vocal class of the Baku Musical College named after Asaf Zeynalli . Since 1999, she has successfully participated in a number of vocal competitions at home and abroad. Sabina became widely known to the Azerbaijani audience as a performer of the song “Röya kimi” (“Like a Dream”) - the soundtrack to the Azerbaijani television series “ Bəyaz həyat ” (“White Life”, 2003 ). Earlier, Sabina Babayeva had already participated in the national qualifying round of the Eurovision Song Contest , however, she took only the third place in her group and was unable to reach the semifinals.   • On May 27, 2018, President of Azerbaijan Sabine Babayeva “For merits in the development of Azerbaijani culture” was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan [7] .
