Anticyan

Anticyan (diethylaminophenol) - a substance that can be used as an antidote for poisoning with hydrocyanic acid and cyanides .

Available in ampoules of 1 ml of a 20% solution. The therapeutic effectiveness of the drug is associated with its ability to methemoglobin formation and activation of biochemical processes of tissue respiration in organs and systems. It improves the blood supply to the brain , favorably affects cardiac activity, and increases the body's resistance to hypoxia .

In the field, the anticyan is administered intramuscularly (1 ml of a 20% solution per 60 kg of body weight). In severe poisoning, repeated administration of the anti-cyan is allowed intravenously after 30 minutes in 0.75 ml of a 20% solution or intramuscularly in 1 ml 1 hour after the first injection. For intravenous administration, the drug is diluted in 10 ml of a 25-40% glucose solution or 0.85% NaCl solution. Sodium thiosulfate potentiates the action of anticyan.
