Petrovsky Street (Donetsk)

The street got its name in honor of Grigory Ivanovich Petrovsky (1878-1958), a Russian revolutionary, a Soviet state and party leader. In 1904, Petrovsky rehabilitated the factory party organization of the RSDLP in Yuzovka after the arrests of the organization’s leaders. After the February Revolution, he actively participated in the establishment of Soviet power in the Donbass.

Petrovsky Street begins in the Kirov district , not far from Freedom Square and ends in the Petrovsky district , in the village of the Trudovskaya mine. It passes through the village of Rutchenkovsky machine-building plant, the village of mine number 19, a large residential district Tekstilshchik . After the bridge overpass through the railway line Yasinovataya - Mariupol passes through the territory of Petrovsky district. It goes along the border of the residential complex DSK and the village of mine number 29, crosses the Petrovsky forest area, passes through the village of mine No. 4-21 and then through Victory Square in the center of the Petrovsky district to the Trudovskaya mine.

Buses and taxis

At the end of the street there is the suburban bus station "Trudovskaya", from which buses go to the center of Donetsk, as well as to settlements of the Mariinsky district of the Donetsk region.

The stop “Petrovsky Street” in the Tekstilshchik microdistrict is the terminal station of tram route No. 8. Route 16 also passes through it.
