“Didn't We Almost Have It All” is a song by American singer Whitney Houston . Her 5th hit, topping the US Billboard Hot 100 chart , despite the lack of a video clip for it. The single (2nd from Whitney’s second album) was nominated for the Grammy Awards in the Grammy Award category for Best Song of the Year (1988). The song was written by Michael Masser and Will Jennings , the release was released in August 1987 [1] [2] .
