Fatima Jinnah ( Eng. Fatima Jinnah ) (July 30, 1893 - July 8, 1967) is the younger sister of Muhammad Ali Jinn (the founder of Pakistan and an active political figure in the movement for independence from British rule ). She is known in Pakistan under the nickname Hatun-e-Pakistan ("Lady of Pakistan") and Madar-i-Millat ("Mother of the Nation"). She was an active participant in the Pakistan movement and the main organizer of the All-Indian Muslim Federation of Women Students. After the formation of Pakistan and the death of her brother, she remained an active participant in the political life of the country.

Biography

Fatima Jinna was born in Karachi on July 30, 1893 . Her famous brother became the guardian of Fatima after the death of their father in 1901. She entered the Bandra Monastery in Bombay in 1902. In 1919, Fatima continued her studies at the Medical University in Calcutta . In 1923, she opened a medical clinic in Bombay.

In 1947, Fatima Jinna formed the Women's Relief Committee , which later formed the core for the All-Pakistani Women's Association . She also played a significant role in resolving the problems of the Muhajirs in the new state of Pakistan. She lived with her brother until his death in 1948.

In 1960, Jeanne returned to the forefront of political life when she ran for president of Pakistan as a candidate from an opposition party. She called her rival in the fight for the presidency a dictator. The rally in support of Fatima was attended by 250,000 people in Dhaka . Protesters greeted her as the mother of the nation. The genie lost the election of Ayyub Khan, while winning the most votes in some provinces. The presidential election did not meet international standards, according to many historians, they were rigged in favor of Ayyub Khan.

Fatima Jinna died in Karachi on July 8, 1967 . Heart failure was called the official cause of death, but it is rumored that she was killed by the same group that killed Liakat Ali Khan . In 2003, Muhammad Ali Jinn's nephew, Akbar Pirbhai, made a statement that Fatima Jinn was killed.
