Early Works
His first literary work dates back to the Time of Troubles . The fruit of his thoughts about the Troubles, in which Nadya, like many other Russian people, saw the struggle of Orthodoxy against “Latinism”, was a small polemical work: “On the Russians of the Holy Grand Church, later Ivan the Theologian,” interpreting the famous apocalyptic vision of a wife persecuted by the serpent to the desert ( Apocalypse , chapter XII), in the sense of the persecution of the Russian Orthodox Church by Catholics. The mystical and apocalyptic view of the pope as an antichrist was borrowed by the Mother hen, apparently, from the South Russian polemical literature, with which he was well acquainted.
Career in Moscow
In 1615, the Mother hen, together with Archimandrite Dionisy Troitsky and Arseny Glukh, was assigned to correct books, ending with the condemnation of all directories in 1618 (see Arseny Glukhoy ), but at the same time, the Mother hen - “the crafty fox,” according to Arseny - avoided imprisonment . When the directors were acquitted, Nasedka wrote a letter to the newly appointed patriarch Filaret (excerpts in the Description of the Synodal Manuscripts, No. 273), in which he defended the amendments made with his participation and denounced the ignorance of the Moscow clergy, subtly exposing his education and his merit. Appointed as the key keeper of the Assumption Cathedral , he becomes a person close to the government. Two of his polemical writings against the monk Anthony Podolsky , who defended the increase: “ and by fire ” in prayer for the Epiphany, which the reference books of the Trebnik Rev. Dionysius, Arseny Glukhoy and their comrades [1] relate to, belong to the same time.
In 1642, the Mother Nadyka compiled “An Exposition on the Luthers,” an extensive compilation compilation, partly borrowed from the works of Zakhary Kopystensky ; there is reason to believe that this collection was prepared for publication. In this polemic-satirical work against Lutheranism, there are extensive insertions of a rhymed spoken verse - non-syllabic verses . In 1644 , the mother hen was the main figure in the theological debate caused by the betrothal of the Danish prince Waldemar with Princess Irina Mikhailovna ; he wrote the acts of this debate published by A.P. Golubtsov .
Monasticism. Under Patriarch Joseph
Under Patriarch Joseph, the Nasedka, being a monk (with the name of Joseph), was one of the main figures in printing books; he subsequently sided with Nikon's adversaries.
By the time of Patriarch Joseph, the following writings of the Little Heir belong to: “The Son of the Church” or “The Legend of the Most Necessary Customs for the Teaching of the Orthodox Christian Faith, the Newly Enlightened Need Is Zero,” and “ The Spiritual Mirror, ” compiled in 1645 and representing a collection of instructions, mainly moral, borrowed from paternal works and arranged in an alphabetical order. This collection, with the exception of a few articles, is very similar in content to the book "Alpha and Omega", printed in Suprasl in 1788. The henry still has a note on the life of the Monk Dionysius (part of the Life of Dionysius, Moscow, 1824 , p. .43-54, 56-83), in which, by the way, the horrors of Moscow ruin are depicted in bright colors.
