Biography
He became interested in politics at the age of 13, in major riots in Italian schools. During his studies, He quickly moved up the career ladder of the student movement. During his studies at the university, he became secretary of the Federation of Young Italian Communists (youth organization of the Italian Communist Party ).
Until the 90s of the XX century, he was engaged in legal research, studied in Rome and in Frankfurt . In the end, he received the position of professor of Roman law .
After the collapse of the Italian Communist Party in 1991, he joined the Communist Renaissance Party , left it in 1998, after which he participated in the creation and since 2000 led the Party of Italian Communists .
From October 21, 1998 to April 25, 2000 he served as Minister of Justice of Italy in the government of the center-left Massimo D'Alem .
From 1994 to 2008 he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the XII, XIII, XIV, XV convocations.
Personal life
Diliberto's father is a lawyer, his mother is a teacher. From 1985 to 1987 he was married to Delia Cardia, and in 1997 he married Gabriella Sirrenti.
In November 2007, Diliberto invited the leader of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov to transport the body of Lenin to Rome , but was refused. [1] [2]
