Frederic Catherine Sofia Dorothea of Württemberg ( German: Friederike Katharina Sophie Dorothea von Württemberg ; , - , ) - princess of the Württemberg house , second wife of the Westphalian king Jerome Bonaparte (younger brother of Napoleon I ) [2] .

Biography
The princess was born in the family of Crown Prince Württemberg Friedrich and his wife Augusta Carolina Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttelskaya on February 21, 1783 in St. Petersburg , when her parents visited Friedrich’s sister, Tsarevna Maria Fedorovna . From her father's side, she was the granddaughter of the Duke of Württemberg, Friedrich Eugene and Frederick Dorothea Sophia Brandenburg of Sweden , from her mother, Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand of Braunschweig and Augusta of Great Britain , the granddaughter of King George I.
The mother of the princess died when Catherine was five years old. Her father entered into a second marriage with the British Princess Charlotte , the eldest daughter of King George III .
In December 1805, Napoleon granted her father the title of King of Württemberg, and on January 1, 1806 he was crowned in Stuttgart . Out of loyalty to Napoleon, Friedrich married his daughter Catherine to his brother Jerome Bonaparte . The wedding took place on August 22, 1807 at the Royal Palace of Fontainebleau . The ceremony was attended by Emperor Napoleon I and Empress Josephine . Catherine became the second wife of Jerome, after marriage she received the title of Queen of Westphalia. After the fall of Napoleon's empire in 1815, the couple lost their throne and went into exile.
Catherine died in Lausanne in 1835 . Her husband entered into a third marriage with Justina Percoli-Suarez . He died in 1860 .
